Hello again ๐
This appears to be the same problem as the thread you opend 2 days ago
Did you write in to Support?
Yep its the same problem, I wrote to support but it wasn't helpful and they kept suggesting me to change the idempotency key which didn't work
Ugh I'm sorry. That advice makes no sense
If you are using the same idempotency key that means you will always retrieve the 500 error but it doesn't look like you are doing that here
yep exactly, thats why I had to come back here
If i remove the backdate start date from my request then the requests start to go through
Unfortunately the situation has not changed. I can't do anything more beyond reporting the problem which I have
I understand. I just want to understand why that is happening because 500 error doesn't provide any details and the support didn't connect me to technical folks and refused to do a live screenshare.
Mainly I want to confirm this If I send a subscription creation request with backdate_start_date timestamp that is before the creation timestamp of the stripe customer associated with the request, would the request error out with status code 500?
That isn't something I can confirm. That's why I filed this internally with the team that manages this logic.
I'm sorry to say but you do need to flag this with Support, again. Be explicit that you asked your question here and that I, a technical engineer at Stripe, filed this internally with the product team. You are asking them to connect your support case with this internal ticket so you can get updates about progress on it.
Specifically do not restate your initial concern as Support will attempt to use canned responses to solve it.
๐ thanks
