I think this is expected since you created the payout using the preview payout_method feature: https://docs.stripe.com/api/payouts/create#create_payout-payout_method

My assumption is the api spec isn't updated yet just because it's still in preview

But it should be. This looks like it was probably missed by the team.

ok will add that handling to our enum defintion. just wanted to clarify if it was intended to be an actual new enum value or it was mistake

No problem. We're not super familiar with preview features in here so I can't say it wasn't a mistake with 100% certainty but I will flag this to the team
