Hey there I am confused about the expected and actual behaviour here

Expected: Customer is offered products 1,2,3.
Actual: Customer is shown product 4 as their current (cancelled if buy 1 2 or3)

This seems expected to me, to present the active subscriptions (unless you restrict to managing a specific subscription) and then the modification to that subscription (to prod4) to switch to 1,2,3

What do you expect to be the end result instead?
