As for context, this feature could be used to enable purchases with connect account balance, without being under the restrictions of the Stripe Connect Account Debit Agreements and subsequent region compatibility. I'm wondering, whether that is permitted use.

oh no, it does work. im just confused as to why, because of the comments of @junior stag in #dev-help message. In my mind, a Connect accounts balance was pretty much immutable from the perspective of a platform, if not using account debit agreements.

this is an example of a successful request, where balance was moved from a connect account, back to the platform account - without the use of transfer reversals nor a charge w/ account debit agreement

Yes, this is technically possible, as it is still the platform that is making the request. As for how it complies with the agreements you mention, I don't think I can really speak to that, it might be a better question for support
