hey there π looking into this request
an automatic reconnection should be attempted by default, without any configuration
https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/payments/connect-reader?terminal-sdk-platform=android&reader-type=bluetooth#automatically-attempt-reconnection
have you implemented the reader reconnect callbacks in the MobileReaderListener, and if so, are you getting an onReaderReconnectFailed?
I have a React Native-based **app-on-device **integration, using React Native and Handoff mode. I have not implemented this callback yet.
I have configured offline mode for my location, so even without Wi-Fi, the reader stays connected, as it needs to accept offline payments.
However, when Wi-Fi becomes available again, the device does not automatically reconnect. The Wi-Fi can only be restored manually through the device settings.
hi! I'm taking over this thread.
looking into this.
the S700 should automatically reconnect to the Wi-Fi network without requiring manual intervention
can you clarify where you saw this?
You mean the time frame?
no I mean why do you expect this to happen? was it working like this before? or is it written somewhere on the Stripe doc? etc.
No I didnt saw this in stripe docs. It would also help if I get to know what is the correct behaviour in this scenario. My assumtions is based on standard android wifi behaviour.
got it, I'm not sure either of the expected beahvior in this case. still looking into this.
can you share the serial number of your terminal device with this issue, so I can check its logs?
