Is the error message you are describing showing in the customer portal or where do you see it?

Hello ๐Ÿ‘‹
Jumping in as my colleague needs to step away soon

The UI you've shared is from customer portal.
Are you saying these updates work fine if you do it manually via the dashboard/API but don't work when customers try to self-serve from the portal?

yes! its very strange. that screenshot is from a user, describing what they see when they try to downgrade. On our end, if we go into stripe and schedule a downgrade, it works fine.

The only way I could get close to replicating the issue is:
I created an equivalent coupon in a sandbox and applied it to my account..then i opened customer portal (through stripe) and tried to downgrade. Curiously though, it let me do it without error. But I did notice that when I did this, the coupon code was still linked on the "free" plan (screenshot) - which does not show up like this if on the ones we scheduled manually through stripe's dashboard. Then in my sandbox, if i tried to delete the scheduled update for my account, i got the 2nd image error.

I haven't yet tested trying to do this with an expired coupon, idk if that matters

Trying to look through your account logs to see if I can find any logs related to the error shown.

Since it's a hosted surface and you're not seeing this behavior with the direct API call, you may need to work through Stripe Support so that they can work with the right team internally.

But let me see if I can pull the logs
