Hello! I just want to acknowledge the question. I'm working on some other threads but will get to you as soon as I can.

#

By late returns, do you mean refunds that happen after the 180 day window?

Given refund are ACH transactions in itself , I am assuming it would be asynchronous . In this case also there could be a possibility of failure after refund succeeded similar to ACH payment , in payments Stripe handles it as a dispute, but in refund flow , how would it be handled?

#

By refund , I am referring to a refund of an ACH direct debit transaction.

I see, thanks for clarifying. This is a question you'd want to check with Stripe Support because it doesn't look like our docs specifies how refunds that initially succeeded but later failed are handled.
