What do you call "a performance location" What exact doc are you following?

My coworker is using the alpha version of the nuget sdk do the interactions. He successfully used PerformanceLocation on a CalculationLineItemOptions, and was hoping to do the same for an invoice line item
We haven't been provided any documentation about this preview feature to my knowledge
