I can share the accounts if it helps debug the problem but ultimately I'm trying to have the account show up within this dashboard dropdown (blue line is where the acount would be)
hi there, yes account IDs and other object IDs are ok to share in public, nothing can be done with them without your secret key (which you should never share with anyone)
I'm not sure I understand the structure of accounts here, it sounds like you represent a platform, your customer has a Standard account connected to your platform, and then they have an Express account connected to them?
acct_1QhYbNCDyhodOJKS is the main account and acct_1KGO2wC9jHGnBYoD is the express account connected
I think you might have that backwards? acct_1QhYbNCDyhodOJKS looks like an Express account
yes sorry thats what i meant
I have a platform account
They also have a platform account with an express account they own as a connected account
I want to set another account as a member of the express account so that I can auth the express account into my platform via the added member
I'm not sure what you mean by setting it to be a "member" of the Express account, can you explain more?
yeah for instance within acct_1KGO2wC9jHGnBYoD i can add a member within the "Team and secruity" setting under the team tab
I want to do the same for acct_1QhYbNCDyhodOJKS and add a different account as a member
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
thanks for the further info. we're not super familiar with the dashboard in this channel but I don't think you can do this with Express accounts, they have a much more limited version of the dashboard
is there anyone else i can reach out to that has expertise in this domain ??
I needd to give my customer a definite binary answer with absolute confidence
you can try reaching out to our main support channel https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true
how do i go about reaeching out to an actual person ?
you can tell the AI agent that you want to file a support case. it may take a couple times but it will forward you to a form that will create a support ticket and someone will email you back shortly
