I see the invoice has reached the maximum payment retries and the internal state has transitioned to failed. It seems like this would have to do with your account settings.
This Invoice was created on 12/17 so if your settings didn't tell us to mark it is uncollectible at that time then this ivnoices will remain open

You can mark it as uncollectible directly using the API and, as long as you have the right settings, all future Invoices in this situation will get automatically marked uncollectible

I changed the settings now and I will manually mark this invoice as uncollectible
