hi there!
what do you mean by "it's not working when ethernet"? do you get an error message? if so, which one?
Hi. I mean terminal does not have Internet
we are using s700
only we setup wifi, the terminal is working Dedicated Network IP
when using Ethernet, it's not working
did you disconnect wifi, and followed all steps listed here to use ethernet? https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/payments/setup-reader/stripe-reader-s700
yes
what do you see on your Terminal device in "admin > network" when you plug it in ethernet?
I see this
hey there ๐ taking over for my colleague
two questions:
- do you have the USB-C power cable plugged in?
- does the reader prompt you to connect to a wifi network when you turn it on?
Hi! We are connected to Ethernet using the hub and Stripe USB-C cable. The terminal has Internet, but the problem is that it is DHCP. We would like to have a dedicated IP on our network for the terminals. No it do not request to connect to Wifi
๐ taking over for my colleague. Let me catch up.
Hi!
static IPs are supported, but you need to make sure that the static IP is binded to the MAC address of the reader. you also need to make sure that your DHCP releases the IP address you want to assign to your reader (it's possible that it's already assigned). I suggest setting a static IP that is outside of the DHCP IP range
