Before creating the subscription I hit the API stripe.Customer.create and then pass this newly created stripe.checkout.Session.create in order to link them to their subscription locally
To clarify how are you linking them here? By metadata?

Looks like you are not here. To summarize Connect is a different concept that the Businesses are your Connected Account, you are a Platform ,and you are sharing revenue with them.

It's fundamentally different with Customer, who is paying for the product
