when you say Stripe host page, what exactly do you mean? Stripe hosted Checkout?

Got it. When a user cancels a Checkout Session, there won't be any Payment Intent related events, because at this time the Payment Intent has not been created. It will get created after completing the Checkout Session

When a Checkout Session completes, the user gets redirected to the success_url. That does not mean that the Payment succeeds. For example when using async payment methods like ACH, the Payment Intent transitions to processing until the bank confirms the payment (which normally takes a couple of days). If that payment fails, you would receive a payment_intent.payment_failed webhook event
