I think we are just not returning a very good error message here. It isn't specifically the setupintent write permission that's causing the request to fail

Do I need to add some more permissions to the app? or is this something else?

No it is definitely related to permissions. Basically I see a list of missing permissions for the request, but some permissions imply others and I'm trying to understand what is the permissions you actually need to request for this to work

They're looking at it now - I'm waiting to see what the ETA on a fix is going to be. If we know it is going to be some period of days I'll ask you to submit a support ticket and we can update you when the fix is live.

While our devs are looking at this now, realistically it isn't likely a fix is going to be able to go out today, so can I ask you to open a support case and we'll update you when the fix goes out?

sure. How do I open support case? I've followed the link but it takes me to the stripe support page with no obvious place to open a case

Hello, my colleague has to step out but I can help. Not sure what may be happening with that flow, usually it is obvious. If there's nothing sensitive on the page when you open it, can you send a screenshot here? Trying to figure this out from my side as well.

I think it should have a box pre-opened in the lower right. Let's try one more time, if that doesn't work I think the quickest thing would be to open a case through the "contact support" link there and I can just grab it after you create it that way.

Hmm that doesn't look quite right either. I am flagging internally that we need to fix this. For now if you give the assistant a quick summary of your issue and ask to open a support case it should be able to create that for you. Once that is done if you can DM me your email I can pick up the case and get it in the right queue to follow up on this.
Apologies for the inconvenience! We specifically made that DM thing to make creating a case easier.

Also deleted that message because bots sometimes crawl public Discords like this one to scrape emails for spamming. Sorry I forgot I had my DMs off!
