Hi there,
to clarify, you can see apple pay as a payment method only on one connected account, but not on others?
And you are using Payment Element?

grim rapids
#

yes to both questions

brazen ruin
#

Can you give me the account ID for the connected account where Apple Pay shows, and the account ID where it doesn't show?

grim rapids
#

yes 1 moment while i get it

#

Does NOT work: acct_1PqCzrJyCM5UaeW2

#

DOes work: acct_1RX2euGAwKC9tssz

#

would you like the URLs to try it?

brazen ruin
#

Yes please.
And the platform account ID

grim rapids
#

can you tell me where to find the platform ID?

#

i think it is this: acct_1PVw9FD2pr73lPE1

#

COmpany is Merrimack Technology

brazen ruin
#

Alright, checking where it doesn't work. Give me a minute.

#

Still looking into this... sorry it takes so long

grim rapids
#

no problem .. complicated stuff!

Talking to a colleague about this right now

HI ๐Ÿ‘‹

I'm stepping in. It looks like these are stand-alone accounts that have connected to your platform as a service using OAuth. Is that correct?

grim rapids
#

they are standalone accounts that we connected.

severe coral
#

Okay I can see that the domain is not considered valid by Apple Pay

grim rapids
#

which domain?

severe coral
#

client.go-airportshuttle.com

#

I can see the domain registred on the Connected Account

#

But it's not set up for Connect

grim rapids
#

do i need to register the domains in both?

severe coral
#

Can you share the ID of a payment intent you are generating for this payment flow? I just want to confirm something

grim rapids
#

not easily but i added the domain to standalone account and apple is displayed now

#

when is see "Please register your Apple Pay domains through your platform." in the connected account config, what does that mean? where does the domain need to be setup

severe coral
#

It means that your platform needs to do the registering. If the Account holder does it themselves, it won't work for Connect payments

grim rapids
#

wait that doesnt make sense. i added the domain to the account holder account then it displayed apple pay.

severe coral
#

I'm seeing the registration being associated with your Platform account though, so that does mean it will allow your platform to create Apple Pay sessions on their behalf

grim rapids
#

so it may not allow the charge even though is displaying the option?

severe coral
#

No, just the opposite. I mean that it appears that the domain is correctly configured now and you should be able to complete a payment.

grim rapids
#

can you check another one?

severe coral
#

Okay I'm seeing 2 failed Apple Pay sessions in the past 24 hours. It looks like this domain is also not configured for Connect

#

Yup, the domain registration is not associated with any platform

grim rapids
#

the domain is also on the standalone account

severe coral
#

It needs to be configured on the Connected Account if you are doing direct charges. Currently the domain registration on the Connected Account does not include a reference to your Platform

grim rapids
#

how do i add the reference?

severe coral
#

How did you adjust the domain registration?

Our registration docs mention this:

When using direct charges with Connect, you need to configure the domain for each connected account using the API.

Integrate Apple Pay into your iOS apps and websites to enable secure, one-touch payments for customers.

grim rapids
#

configure the domain for each connected account using the API?

severe coral
#

We recommend using the API and you Platform's secret key

grim rapids
#

so even though i see the doamins configured in the platform config i need do the API calls?

severe coral
#

That is what we recommend, yes

grim rapids
#

odd that it works sometimes

severe coral
#

Unfortunately, we don't focus on the Dashboard functionality here so I cannot speak to whether or not an approach that makes use of the Stripe dashboard will produce the desired results. I can be certain the API request will ensure the domain is properly registered.

grim rapids
#

ok i will give that a try

#

thank you
