๐ Welcome to your new thread!
โฒ๏ธ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.
โฑ๏ธ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.

This is something deprecated and only available to old Connect platforms: https://docs.stripe.com/connect/oauth-express-accounts
You would have to create a new connected account: https://docs.stripe.com/connect/express-accounts
Like I have create Connect account in express using another app and I have to use sane account in my app.
Is that possible?
That is only possible for older Connect platforms
Can you share the acct_xxx ID of your platform?
acct_1RuwH3EcleFbPtMm
That's an Express account, but I see the platform it's connected to (with the same name).
You wouldn't be able to connect an existing express account to it
๐ taking over for my colleague. Let me know if there's any follow-up Qs I can answer!
My question is like
If a user already has a stripe account... (not created through our app)
can they link it to our app so it works as if user did set up through our app
I want to answer
- If user has a standard connected account
- If user has Express connect account
If user has a standard connected account
yes but not recommended
If user has Express connect account
no
Okay got it,
If a user has a standard connected account, then the user has to create a new connected account, right?
?
yes that's correct
sure let me know if you need any more help
No
It's already enough for me.
would you mind me closing the thread in this case?
