👋 Welcome to your new thread!

⏱️ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.

👋 Hi there! Let me take a look
There's also a second example that's slightly more complex:
The cart contains:
- A donation of £20 for the charity.
- A "tip" of £2 for us.
- An entry ticket for an event, for which the charity must pay VAT.
The same would apply:
- The charity pays fees for the £20 donation and VAT for the ticket entry
- We just pay the fees for the £2 "tip"
But if you can help us deal with the first example
then we might be able to handle the second one ourselves in a different way,.
It sounds like you would want to use Separate Charge & Transfer (or Destination Charges) here, since it seems you'll need to do some calculation on your side to determine the net value the charity should receive
So there's no good way to use separate destination charges here using one payment method?
Or is it on us to take the payment, then calculate what should be transferred?
Hey! Taking over for my colleague. Let me catch up.
Yeah I think this is the best approach here
Becasue you don't know the fees upfront if you'll be using destination charges
So the platform should charge the customer normally, do all the needed calculation and then transfer to the connected account their amount.
