@daring pollen for vis
When you mentioned that the digital wallets are not loaded, do you mean that the buttons aren't shown?
kgeark_googlepay-debug
@nova jay sorry you never replied, do you still need help?
Sorry- yes the buttons do not show
Okay we will need way more details than this. Exact code, what you tried, how you are initializing Elements, whether you test on HTTPS properly and registered the domain per https://docs.stripe.com/payments/payment-methods/pmd-registration
Also if you see GooglePay on https://docs.stripe.com/testing/wallets
Here is the thread from yesterday where we were told it was likely due to the browser/session: https://discord.com/channels/841573134531821608/1432406530057179196
yeah sorry Discord is busy so I can't go and read the entire past thread
My read from yesterday's thread: your own computer/device doesn't have GooglePay configured properly
OK, this is some more information:
currently using Payment Request Button -
From Stripe: "It sounds like there could be some extensions possibly blocking the resolution of the requests to google. If you review the network requests when you load the checkout page, you can see the requests to pay.js. This is loading the Google Pay functionality directly from Google.
Yeah, the more I tinker and think, the more I suggest watching the request to Google for pay.js"
The since we were told it seems to be the request to pay.js being blocked for some users - I wanted to ask what is required for the user browser/session that we can look at this
I am not having the issues it is multiple customers reporting this so if we had the GPay configuration requirements for stripe that could help us take a look
There isn't really any specific requirement other than having GooglePay working on your machine.
So to be clear you see GooglePay totally fine every time too?
Yes - but we have diners that are complaining they dont get the gpay button but I get it every time so I wasnt sure if there were browser requirements for gpay and apple pay that we could use to help guide customers having the issues
It usually means they don't have GooglePay configured on their device. It's hard to say without collecting a lot more actionable information: exact browser and version, exact operating system and version, their IP address, what the response to the PaymentRequestButton initialization looks like, etc.
OK - thank you - we can close this thread if I am able to get more information from a reporting user I will open a new query
