I'm not sure I understand... how is this different in terms of creating a Subscription directly vs. using a Checkout Session?

Both only support percent-based application fees and both support transfer_data.amount_percent

oh I didn't realize subscription creation only allowed percent, we're currently creating subscriptions with pay_immediately: false and then updating the invoice after it gets created by the subscription so I guess my question is is there a way to set transfer_data.amount on the first invoice that gets created by the subscription during the checkout session so that we can charge customers immediately in checkout? but I guess now that I know that subscriptions only support a flat percentage, that doesn't really make sense since there's no good way to handle future invoices on the subscription

I guess I don't have a question anymore 😅 still think it would be cool to have transfer_data.amount_cents on subscriptions, is there a way to submit a feature request for APIs like that or is that wishful thinking lol

Yeah it's a thing we've seen asked before and I agree that it would be cool to have this but we haven't been able to prioritize this for now 😢
