are you integrating using the Payment Element? I just tested that card number with our demo page and I see the Amex symbol https://docs.stripe.com/payments/payment-element

ah I see, yes I'm seeing that as well with the Card Element. we recommend that merchants migrate to the Payment Element when possible as Card Element is deprecated

yeah I think it's just that test card that's doing this. I can file internal feedback about it but since the Card Element is deprecated I can't guarantee it will be fixed
