hello! 3DS itself doesn't require redirect, so there's no way to test this if you set redirect: 'if_required'
if you want to test the redirect flow, I'll suggest omitting redirect: 'if_required'

Oh! I thought there was a set of circumstances where it would try to process while we waited, but something wouldn't work and it would force the customer to bounce to that URL.
so you're saying that "if required" really just makes the redirect URL meaningless?

If you're using cards, then yep. The redirect URL is required for other payment methods that redirect though. BNPL payment methods are mostly (if not all) redirect
