I don't understand the use case for application fee with global payouts. Can you describe more? Wouldn't you just send the recipient less money?

that would mean i need to debit the funding bank account for a larger sum to cover the fees we want to take from them, correct? I'm just worried if i don't go through official stripe mechanisms that will i have regulatory issues

I don't understand your use-case

#

What are you building can you elaborate

winged geyser
#

yeah we're a platform that wants to allow its users to send money to pay their vendors

#

and we want to take a fee from our users when they send this money

#

we currently use stripe connect for our users to receive money, but we're missing that sending money out piece that we're thinking about using global payouts for

tropic girder
#

Interesting

#

Hm and are these standard connect accounts I assume?

winged geyser
#

no they're on express

tropic girder
#

Ah cool

winged geyser
#

hmm but i think the 1.5% extra cost is not viable for us

#

if we have to just debit extra money from our users' bank accounts that's fine, just want to know the correct way to do this.

tropic girder
#

Account debits are the best way

#

I can't speak to the fees though

#

We don't know anything about pricing or fees in here so I'm not familiar with the cheapest option

winged geyser
#

i understand

#

no problem

#

thanks for your help

#

im good for now
