The most optimal solution would be if the Stripe payment sheet somehow opened the MobilePay mobile app directly (as we're on mobile) but I found earlier threads on this Discord indicating that this is not possible.

We're using the React Native SDK with a payment sheet, so this flow:

I see the docs mention Your native mobile application redirects your customer to the MobilePay mobile application to complete the payment. so I'm confused why it would be asking for the phone number at all?

The docs are lying, the React Native SDK at least does not redirect to the MobilePay mobile application, but it opens a MobilePay payment site using a web view

Ah, I see. From what I can see there's no way to pass any customization params to the MobilePay UI, but it seems like the behaviour isn't ideal here, especially with the mismatch in the docs, so can I ask you to send us in a message so that we look into this a bit deeper?
