Hi! Yes, a usage-based billing meter can be used across multiple subscriptions, products, and customers. Are you facing any issues with it?

yess whenever i record usage for one subscription it records usage for all the products that have this same meter

Using it across multiple products, subscriptions, etc. will depend on your use case. Looking at your specific situation, it would be advisable to create individual meters.

but for every single subscription or for every product?

#

because the wayy i usually create a subscription is by adding a price id to the checkoutsession creation and i wanted to give these prices a meter through the dashboard and then reuse them

Any specific reason why you want to use the same meter for everything?

wind ore
#

because then i dont have to add tons of meters to every single price

#

would i then also have to create new prices every time?

#

its just easier to refer to the same meters instead of constantly creating new ones and keeping track of those ids?

#

if you have a different suggestion I'd be happy to hear it

#

it seemed so much easier before when you just had to say "sum of usage records" and then sending a usage report wth the subscription Item was enough to get it working

Apologies for the earlier update. You shouldn't use the same meter across different products. It should be 1 meter to 1 price but it can be used across multiple customers.
