Have you added the Tax ID to the Invoice settings page as mentioned here : https://docs.stripe.com/tax/invoicing/tax-ids? Maybe give that a try and see if you can see the Tax ID?

I think I have added the Tax ID although this is in sandbox.

that's not where it should be set to be displayed in the Invoice. You'll want to follow the instructions in the guide I shared. For easy reference, the setting is in ....settings/billing/invoices/general

So when I set the correct place, the tax number would display in the invoice, right?

theoretically it should, try it out and see if it works. I can't recall off the top of my head if it only applies to new invoices, or would also work for previously already finalized invoices
