You can use one of these test cards actually:
https://docs.stripe.com/testing#available-balance
ummm so you mean if i use one of these cards money will go to pending balance instead of available balance?
No the fund will go to the available balance immediatly
i was using 4242 4242 4242 4242
so what can i do to test funds going to pending balance?
When using 4242, funds will go to pending
i need to test the 'source_transaction' meaning i need the the funds to go to pending and then see that the transfer takes from pengding not from available
You can use the card 4242 then for that
i am but it seems to be transfering directly
Yeah that's the goal
Of using source_transaction
The transfer is created even if the funds are still in the pending balance
Yes that's normal
ok but when i do have available balance
woudl it be taken out from it or would it wait in any case for the charge
If you specify source_transaction it will be taken from the transaction
Regardless if you have available balance or not
what i mean:
i have enough balance to cover it but i want the transfer to not happen unless the source transaction money bcomes available
regardless if i already have enough money to cover it
alright then
Can we keep this chat open for context so i can ask followups later while testing this?
