On another note about creating billing portal configurations, is there a way to allow promo codes when someone adds a payment method?

Fairly certain this is possible while updating the plan, but I don't think it is when adding a payment method.
There is an ability to set a cancellation deflection coupon.

No option to add a promocode concurrently with a pm : /

ok I added a payment method and still don't see a place to add a promo code
I only see it when switchin gplans
