I’m currently working on integrating Express Checkout in my application and I’d like to confirm whether PayPal purchases can be implemented using the advanced integration flow. I want to use Paypal for recurring subscriptions and one time purchases.
We want to integrate Express Checkout Elements only for wallets like Paypal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. I’ve reviewed the documentation for accepting a deferred payment with Express Checkout, but I didn’t find a clear reference for PayPal.
Could you please guide me on:
Whether PayPal can be supported within Express Checkout via advanced integration.
If yes, which APIs or configuration are required to enable it (PaymentIntent parameters, Elements setup, etc.).
If not directly supported, whether there is a recommended workaround or alternative flow for integrating PayPal purchases alongside Express Checkout.
I’d be grateful for any examples or documentation links you can share.
