Good question, looking in to this. When you pass that, does the component require authentication but only the first time?

Yeah seems to be only when they initially onboard
but then if they change their account details it doesn't request any authentication

Gotcha, I'm seeing the same behavior where I have to log in once but then it keeps me logged in when using that account again. Looking into if we have any paramters for always requiring the login, otherwise I can file a feature request to at least show interest in that feature
It looks like there is a logout method that will destroy the account session. I think that that means the user would have to log in again to use the a component. So it may be possible for your page to do this before rendering the element if you want your users to always log in https://docs.stripe.com/connect/get-started-connect-embedded-components?platform=web#authentication
