hello! fyi i am looking at this now

thank you!

ok, i am fairly certain that microdeposit verification is still required in this scenario

#

if you chat with our support team they might be able to help you out, but by default it's still required

Ok, when I read through the docs at https://docs.stripe.com/payments/ach-direct-debit under "Verification" it links to this page https://support.stripe.com/questions/nacha-bank-account-validation-rule
which specifically just mentions the verification process for the 'WEB' ACH SEC code, which made me think that verification process is not necessary for 'PPD' coded transactions. Does that sound right?

Learn how businesses can accept payments with ACH Direct Debit.

i think it still applies for PPD, and it looks like at least in test mode our APIs require verification

#

but let me double check some things

#

ok yeah i just double checked with a colleague and verification is definitely still required by default

#

but again if you check with our support team they might be able to help unblock you

Ok interesting, is there any documentation I can reference regarding that?

I chatted with Stripe Support and the rep said it's actually not required for PPD transactions

#

^

#

They said that the test environment doesn't support the PPD (collection_method=paper) flow

this property is specifically just to document the origins of the mandate. i'm digging into some of the history around it and i don't see any references to it being intended to bypass verification

Ok I really appreciate it!
