No, I'm afraid you can't save a payment method without attaching it to a customer.
That's a bummer. I notice Stripe creates a dummy customer of some sort when we create a payment method. I'm wondering if we just take the approach of having a dummy customer Id we use for all PMs. I have a feeling Stripe would frown upon that but would that technically work?
Can you tell me what stops you from creating a customer and attaching a payment method to it?
We could. It just seems like an extra step since we aren't using the customer record.
But I guess we can. It's an extra API call per new payment that uses a new PM.
