That likely means the customer didn't completed their 3DS auth session

Did you tried to reach out to the customer and check if they faced an issue when completing the 3DS session.

Customer said "When I choose payment via Stripe and enter my card details, the screen that appears after validation is the one asking for profile verification through the email address...I am then redirected back to the homepage"

Custom infirmed no popup is displayed, I tried a 3DS payment in test mode and the popup shown and payment succeeded

So that's probably an issue on the 3DS page hosted by their bank issuer

They probably need to reach out to their bank and see why they couldn't complete their 3DS session (after filling their email address)
