Hi, you will need to make the changes before the invoice is created. Can you try that in test mode using Test Clocks, https://docs.stripe.com/billing/testing/test-clocks

And what if the invoice is already created? Can I modify the tax rate of the invoice using the invoice API?

While in draft status you could edit some but not after it's finalized: https://docs.stripe.com/api/invoices/update?api-version=2025-07-30.preview
