On behalf of parameter is used to specify the Connected Account as merchant of record
I'd recommend reading through - https://docs.stripe.com/connect/destination-charges?platform=web&ui=stripe-hosted#settlement-merchant since you mentioned destination charges

Right this concept of merchant of record is perfectly clear to me, but with destination charges - money lands in our platform account and is then transferred out to the connected account
So is on_behalf_of a legal change because the flow of the destination charge is still the same, right?
