Thanks, In this first account.update event seem to have the accounts but I cannot see any related account.external_account.* event on any of the connected accounts I have created

Ah it looks like the expected behavior is that this event is only triggered for external accounts created after the initial onboarding process. It looks like these external accounts were added during onboarding. I am not sure why that is the expected behavior, but that does explain this behavior for this account.

yes, but I created the account directly on the main account goint to Connect -> Connected accounts -> create, then I clicked on the connected account (I guess at that time the account is already connected), clicked on the 3 dots and then view dashboard for this account. From there I created the new bank account

the other day I followed this steps after talking with your colleage and I received this event "evt_1S5iyGQr6q9G1eJpXr1zi8H7" It's the only time we received one "account.external_account.updated" event

Gotcha, looking again. And for that last event, to your knowledge did you create that external account any differently than the ones that didn't emit that event?

I meant like the ba_ bank account object that was created from doing that via the dashboard, but if you don't have one that you know for sure came from that I don't think we need that right now.

One question I have is: how will these accounts actually be added for your users who will eventually be using your platform? Will you be adding these accounts via the dashboard like this? If not, it may make more sense to test this closer to how your users will use this like with the Express dashboard or the embedded component that can collect bank account details

We send them an onboarding link and following this link they can link their Stripe account or create a new one

Okay, so we're looking at the absence of account.external_account_created events when you're adding external accounts in the Stripe to connected accounts in the Stripe dashboard. There are a number of connected account ids in the thread. Which account should I look at for the most recent example of a connected account that you added an external account to?
