๐ Welcome to your new thread!
โฒ๏ธ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.
โฑ๏ธ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.

Hi there
I can share the URL from the email and a picture of the email if either would be helpful.
Yeah sharing the URL would be helpful.
It looks like you are using the Stripe-hosted page here for payment method updates so I wouldn't expect a 404
Hmm yeah that is not the expected URL
Hmm okay actually testing this on my end and I'm seeing unexpected behavior as well.
So give me a few more mins to look
Okay @icy siren I've confirmed that this redirect link in the test mode email is broken right now. However it would work fine in production. I'm filing a ticket internally to get this fixed, if you want to stay updated on the fix you can reach out to our Support team via https://support.stripe.com/contact/login
That's interesting. I've never encountered a bug in Stripe. Are you certain this isn't caused by something on my end? Like how I'm creating the sub?
Are you triggering the email via clicking on the ๐๏ธ at https://dashboard.stripe.com/acct_1RguDYQmqegqC9Pg/test/settings/billing/subscriptions in your Dashboard next to the setting?
And using the send test email?
I trigger it by creating a sub through my app in the sandbox with a test clock attached, and I advance the test clock to 28 days (30-day trial). It generates that event and the corresponding email.
Gotcha, can you test out triggering it from the settings page there and let me know if you are sent to the same URL or a different one?
Overall this has nothing to do with how you created your Subscription.
OK. The link in the sample email is: https://dashboard.stripe.com/emails/trial_ending_example?referer=free_trial_ending#
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
Ah so that sent you to a working page?
No, when I click on the button in the sample email, nothing happens.
It doesn't send an email when I click the preview button. It just shows it in an iframe.
Oh, sorry, just saw the button. Just a sec.
np, thx
When I click the Update payment method button in the test email, I get a Chrome "Redirect Notice: The previous page is sending you to an invalid url (http://?referer=free_trial_ending#)."
Hi there! I'll be taking over for bismarck here, who needs to step away
OK
I get the exact same behavior in regards to the Chrome redirect notice. bismarck had already taken this up with our product engineers for further investigation.
So, as they mentioned, if you want to stay updated on the fix, you can reach out to our support team and provide a link to this discord thread and a description of the issue
OK. Thanks for your help. Will someone update this thread when a fix is available?
No, that's why we recommend reaching out to support so someone on the support team can provide you with updates. We close these threads when they have been inactive for a little while, otherwise the number of threads would become unmanageable.
@icy siren just to be sure - sub_1S5aj6QmqegqC9PgEJcc9bAk is the subscription you were testing with, correct?
