Okay yeah this looks like a Dashboard bug to me. I'll file a ticket internally for this so we get it fixed up. For now you would need to create a new Template if you want to clear out the set field.
In terms of not seeing your custom footnote, do you have an example Invoice ID where you applied a template?
I thought the footnote you can confugure in the tab "general" would show on every PDF
It is the default that should be applied unless overridden
Which one so you mean by default ?
I have 2 tabs ine the invoice configuration screen
1 tab for template ans the other one
In the General tab for the Default memo and Default footer
I did fill the default footer in general
It doesn't show on my invoices
I created a few after I changed the configuration but no luck
Sure so if that isn't showing up then can you create and finalize a fresh Invoice and provide me that Invoice ID so I can take a look at it?

At the bottom of the Subscription creation modal you should have seen your footer prefilled in the Invoice footer section.
Did you see that?
I didn't notice it no
I can cancel and re-subscribe to see if it's there
But I can't right now

So you should double check that
