even if the invoice gets voided and the subscription is canceled the customer can still pay the invoice
what you need to do is to create a new subscription and either provide the customer with trial period, or customer credit balance or a credit note to make the first invoice of the new subscription be automatically paid

I found it, basically you need to give
the customer some credit balance or create a credit note on the in_1S3JLjJqE5f9ucQhh3vXG3GZ invoice and then call the /pay API endpoint on that invoice
