For clarification you are asking how to migrate to the payment-element? Or how to use link without it?

I'm trying to understand how I can allow users to use Link when adding a payment method, and retrieve link-based payment methods (like Link IBP) when using the new Payment Element stripe offers. I just don't see any way to interact with link prior to actually processing the payment, but maybe i'm misunderstanding

So when entering Payment details into the Payment Element, once you've presented all the details, a checkbox should show up asking if you want to save these details to link. Payment doesn't needed to be completed, but we do wait till the details have been typed in. I believe this choice was made for conversion reasons. As when people see it's just a matter of clicking an additional check box, they are more likely to do it. Where they expect there to be extra steps involved if it's something they are asked about up front

I appreciate that insight. When I'm trying to use the payment element to test Link IBP, i'm able to select "new payment method" but when I do, I'm only given the option to add a new card, not use IBP (see screenshots). I have blocked access in our account for ACH Direct Debits so that wont conflict, and i'm using the dynamic payment method initialization on the payment element (per https://docs.stripe.com/payments/link/instant-bank-payments#eligibility). Is there anything else I would be expected to do in testing mode to enable IBP to show up, or some setup I need to do in Link to add an IBP source to my testing account?

Accept low cost bank payments with instant confirmation.

ok, sorry for the delay, taking a look now!

#

i know that there are limitations on instant bank payments availability, let me double check some things....

#

any chance you can share an example Payment Intent ID with me so i can use that to look up some details about your account?

#

we might need our support team to take a look at this since this is an account status / eligibility question rather than an integration question, but i want to at least take an initial look to make sure nothing obvious is out of place

This is a payment intent in testing mode: pi_3RsTXwGQj43DNZIy0Ao7pL9W

ok, i'm not seeing instant payments in your payment method configuration settings, so i do think that our support team should probably take a look. do you mind creating a ticket with them via the "Contact support" button on the right here?
