Hello 👋
So you are attempting to test the Link instant bank debits we document here: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/link/instant-bank-payments?
What Stripe surface are you testing with?
Are you using Stripe Checkout, Payment Element, mobile Payment Element?
We call out that the doc you referenced is no longer recommended
Stripe no longer recommends using the Payment Request Button as part of your Web Elements integration. To integrate Link, use one of our preferred Elements: the Link Authentication Element, Express Checkout Element, or Payment Element.
That's right, I'm trying to test Link's instant bank debits, but I'm trying it from here (Link in the Payment Request Button).
Which we don't recommend. It's called out at the top of that doc
That's right, however, is there a way to test bank debits from there in test mode?
Do you have an example Payment Intent where you expected Link to be available?
Is the Stripe Account you are using based in the US and are you loading the Payment Request Button from a US IP address?
@subtle raptor I understand that payment methods on the site are associated with the email address used to log in. Is there an email address that has a bank debit option?
You have not answered my questions. Is the Stripe Account you are using based in the US?
P.S: The Stripe account is based in the US
Do you have the ID of a Payment Intent where you expect Link to be availabe but it is not?
We don't have test emails to enable Instant Bank debits
That is the link to this page
That link doesn't go anywhere and I cannot use it
However, would you know how to answer my question? Is there any way to test the BANK debit in test mode from here?
Sorry but I need to investigate the particulars of your integration to answer that question but you have not provided me with sufficient information to do so. That is why I'm asking.
@subtle raptor try with this link ... i'm loged out from the test@test.com email and sharing the link again
Hi Iván, taking over for Snufkin.
Do you have any account ID I can look at and ideally a Payment Intent ID.
the link provided does not work.
@lyric citrus The account ID is acct_18hXbwKisS78xILJ
And there is no intention to pay yet. I have not made the payment yet. I want to do it using bank debit.
A Payment Intent is the underlying object behind a payment. This would tell us how you've configured the payment and would answer a lot of details for us.
I don't believe this is possible with the PRB, when using the Payment-Element it provides you with Test accounts to test various scenarios (success, failure)
It's been some time since we've heard back. I'll go ahead and close this thread out but if you have any follow up questions or concerns please just reach back out.
