In particular this and this are confusing to me. If verification_method is automatic, Financial Connections can still gracefully fallback to microdeposits in case it's not possible to verify an account instantly.

But if I want to use microdeposits-only, I cannot use Financial Connections at all and have to implement account details collection on my own (with all the burden of being PCI compliant)

Is my understanding correct?

To be clear, we don't want to be PCI compliant and we DO want to delegate all the sensitive information handling to Stripe. In the same time we want to cover both instant and microdeposit verifications

This is correct

It is neccessary for the financial connections flow to be able to handle microdeposit verification but there is not "microdeposits-only" financial connections flow
