Let me see what the current state is - I know there used to be some restrictions around the Billing Portal and Subscriptions that were created by Schedules
Customers can’t update or cancel subscriptions that currently have an update scheduled with a subscription schedule.

Is there a way to create a Subscription Schedule when a subscription is set up through Stripe Checkout? I was looking at the checkout session creation but don't see where we would tell it to use a Subscription Schedule.

You could set up a Subscription with Checkout and then take the resulting Subscription and create a Schedule from it with the from_subscription parameter on the create Schedule endpoint

As a reminder, you could even automate it from the webhook event when the Subscription gets created if you want to
