Ok, that doesn't seem to be something we have/expose currently, but I can see the utility and want to file feedback about this.
Do you happen to have any references about this from Amazon's side, or loosely how this is exposed to your customers?

Yes. It appears in the E-Mail Amazon sends to the customer. I attached a screenshot.
Sorry for that being in German, I don't have an english version 😉
In addition, when processing a refund, the customer gets a similar mail. And when the customer asks for a cancellation, the merchant gets this mail:
