👋 Welcome to your new thread!

Hi there!

dusty cedar
#

hi - thanks for assisting!

#

let me know if i can provide more info

inland matrix

This is a little bit removed from the integration-focused questions we focus on in this server but let me see if I can get you an answer here

dusty cedar
#

yeah, I understand - just wasn't quite sure where to go with it

Sorry, looking now - server was busy for a few minutes

dusty cedar

all good, thanks

So you want to allow your connected accounts in x, y, z countries to add a USD bank account to settle funds from USD payments in USD

dusty cedar
#

exactly. technically we use Top Ups and Transfers rather than Destination charges

#

but the same end result from their perspective - the funds come in USD and get to our account in USD, but the Connected Accounts can only link bank accounts in their local currency, despite that in the real world they have USD bank accounts (like Wise, etc. there are some new services for intl folks to have USD bank accounts now)

#

its just not clear to us (at least we've never found) whether there's a supported API way to do this

inland matrix
#

unfortunately, it looks like cross-border payouts only supports local-currency settlement currently.

dusty cedar
#

ok, gotcha - does it seem like there is some eventual roadmap direction supporting choosing different currencies (like USD or the currency of the main account specifically)?

#

just so i know whether to check back in later

Yes, there is some product feedback around this, which I'll be happy to add to for you
