Hi, what is your use case. Can you share more details here please?

What details are you after? WE have around 100 conencted accounts, we are based in the UK like most of our clients, some are US / EU

I'm trying to help which charge type would work best for your business use case. Without your business use case, it would be hard to make any recommendations. We do document what those charge type would be here: https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/features/connect

Why do you think you're getting pushed to use one over the other? What determinations are you using to make these decisions?

It got reccomended to us to use destination charges. But given that we process £1.5million a month, and would be using Stripe terminals wqith most of our accounts it seems a lot messier in terms of data to have everything live on the platform account instead of the connect express accounts that our clients have

By whom was it recommended? How would it be messier?

It would be messier as all the data for the £1.5 million we process would live on our platform account, instead of spread out across all of the connected accounts

#

Recommended by a similar sized company

Hmmm, I would not make that the only determination. It is common to have that data on the Platform account. Other determinations as documented, https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/features/connect would be who you want the responsible for the cost of Stripe fees, refunds, and chargebacks?

Yip considered that, and we're happy to take it on, but just don't see the real benefit, they mentioned it puts us in a better position for negotiating fees but thats a big maybe IMO unless I've got it wrong
