Hi πŸ‘‹

Thanks for the URL, I'm taking a look

flint geyser
#

I appriciate it!

barren temple
#

Why do I have to sign up?

flint geyser
#

oh, yes, you do have to sign up.

barren temple
#

Okay, you're going to get some fake data

flint geyser
#

all good!

barren temple
#

Alright I see Link button

flint geyser
#

glad you could see it reproduces. We're going to merge a PR soon where we disable link, amazonPay, paypal programmatically, just in case. In case you don't see it anymore it's because we fixed it this way.

#

Ideally we don't want to disable them code wise, so we have the flexibility of enabling them via configuration.

#

Will you folks continue to investigate and work on a fix?

#

I hope we didn't configure something wrong, so please let us know if that's the case!

barren temple
#

Yeah that makes sense. I was able to find our internal logs that show we only considered the following payment methods for the express checkout element: ["card","apple_pay","google_pay"]

#

Unfortunately I think this isn't something I can fix here

#

So I'll need you to write in to us directly and I can route your request

#

I will send you a DM with a link to create a accelerated support case with us

flint geyser
#

got it!

#

perfect!

#

thank you so much!

Hello @flint geyser, we have sent you a direct message, please check it at https://discord.com/channels/@me/1400877047857025144

  • πŸ”—The message has instructions on how to open a direct support case with our Developer Support team, in order to help you more effectively.
flint geyser
#

Done. Thank you so much!

barren temple
#

I've already received the case and I'll be shepherding it through the process to get you an answer.

#

Oh wait!

flint geyser
#

what?

barren temple
#

I think I see what the problem is. The payment method configuration used to control what payment methods are valid for this Elements session is pmc_1PdCVAEatvDEikpWBQ6ac4Qy

This configuration has Link turned ON for all Stripe surfaces

#

this is not your default configuration

flint geyser
#

let me check

#

I don't see the configuration you're mentioning

#

am I looking at the right one?

barren temple
#

Ooof so many configs called "Default"

flint geyser
#

I know, right?

#

I have to run, but if you have any questions of if you find something, @deft relic is here.

barren temple
#

I think it's the PMC for your Connected Accounts. The account involved is acct_1J5d5UEatvDEikpW

flint geyser
#

wait, can connected account enable things without us?

barren temple
#

I don't think they "enabled" things but Link would be on by default in that config.

flint geyser
#

got it

barren temple
#

Also, it's up to you whether you allow connected accounts to manage their own payment method configurations

flint geyser
#

where's an option for this?

#

I'd like to disable this option

barren temple
deft relic
#

Thank you I was able to turn off Link for all connected accounts. I could have sworn Link was disabled when we enabled Google Pay for all our connected accounts, but I could have been mistaken. Thanks for the help!
