hi there, give me a moment to look at this π
Hey there, thank you!
sorry I'm still verifying if something has changed, but I did notice that the Google Pay button displayed on your website is using the legacy Payment Request Button: https://docs.stripe.com/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-button
You would want to let your team know that we have deprecated Payment Request Button, and they should upgrade to use the newer Express Checkout Element at their earliest convenience: https://docs.stripe.com/elements/express-checkout-element
hi @wanton rapids , I'm able to reproduce the error in our live environment, so I will need to escalate to the relevant product team. I will dm you to create a support case with me so that we can communicate async.
Hello @wanton rapids, we have sent you a direct message, please check it at https://discord.com/channels/@me/1399638151340752900
- πThe message has instructions on how to open a direct support case with our Developer Support team, in order to help you more effectively.
Thank you, will keep it in mind. Using the express checkout element, can I still manage the buttons separately?
I have completed the steps in the link:
Thank you β creating a support case...
Thank you. Our team will respond to you as soon as possible.
What do you mean by "manage the button separately"?
For the express checkout element, the usage is that I pass a number of payment methods and it renders the buttons as needed, but then we need to ensure the look and feel meets our expectations, which is easier with the (now deprecated) button because those we can render one by one.
It is possible to customize the appearance of the payment button when using Express Checkout Element: https://docs.stripe.com/elements/express-checkout-element#appearance like the button height for example
We have some code refactoring planned in the future, so maybe we will look to upgrade our Stripe libraries. Maybe it's worth looking at this again, but to confirm, the main issue for this chat is on your end, not mine? And you will reach out in the future?
The information for the buttons is appreciated!
That's right, I will work with our team to clarify why the amount is missing on the Google Pay pop-up. I've gotten your case
Thank you!
