hi! I'm taking over this thread.
you can customize the Payment Element using the Appearance API: https://docs.stripe.com/elements/appearance-api
however it has some limitations, so you can't customize everything.

yes but we are passing options to PaymentElement which has type specifiad as StripePaymentElementOptions. and this type variable doesn't have appearance included

I'm not sure I understand your question. do you get an error in your code? if so, which one?

Object literal may only specify known properties, and 'appearance' does not exist in type 'StripePaymentElementOptions'.
this is what I'm getting if I try to add "appearance" in "options"
