I mean, I think if you want to use payment_method_types in your integration, you've ultimately got to understand what the requirements are for individual payment methods
Which are documented, but there isn't something like an API that lists the requirements for individual payment methods

Thanks for the link! Do you have a sense for how often the requirements change for payment methods like this? My biggest hesitation around looking at the criteria on our side is that we'll be behind any changes from the payment method providers.

That's a good question. Changes do happen as products evolve, but something like the requirement for local currency settlement / domestic-only payments for Klarna on US and Canadian Stripe accounts has been the case for at least the last 3.5 years
