There are multiple problems with this method. And I was hoping you guys have something better and simpler. I have already tried working with coupons and subscription schedules but none works for my use case.

With coupons, they provide a percentage discount and subscription schedules too, charge monthly but I don't wanna charge my user $1 per month but only the 1st month for trial period.

Only the first phase would be a $1 monthly charge

For the first month

Then you could apply a trial or switch to a $0 price after the first month for the second phase

So you mean 3 phases? Like first phase of 1 month where I charge $1, @nd phase of 2 months where I charge nothing and 3rd and final phase where actual subscription starts?
